Robert P. (Bob) Casey Jr. has served as a U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania since 2007. Born on April 13, 1960, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he earned his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in 1982 and a J.D. from the Catholic University of America in 1988. Before his Senate career, Casey was Pennsylvania's auditor general from 1997 to 2005 and state treasurer from 2005 to 2006. He chaired the Joint Economic Committee during the 112th Congress and has served as vice chair and a member of the Special Committee on Aging. Reelected in 2012 and 2018, his current term ends on January 3, 2025.
