Gordon Howie (b. July 23, 1949) was an Independent candidate for the U.S. Senate from South Dakota in 2014. A former Republican, Howie embraced the Republican Party platform during his campaign. He served in the South Dakota State Senate from 2009 to 2011 and in the South Dakota State House from 2004 to 2009. A rancher and businessman, Howie worked as a real estate broker and owned Holy Cow Ranch. He ran in the 2014 U.S. Senate election but lost in the general election.
