Kelly Lynn Loeffler is an American businesswoman and politician who served as a U.S. Senator from Georgia from 2020 to 2021. She was appointed to the Senate by Governor Brian Kemp to fill the seat left vacant by Johnny Isakson's resignation. Loeffler was the CEO of Bakkt, a subsidiary of the Intercontinental Exchange, and previously co-owned the Atlanta Dream WNBA team. She ran for election in a special election in 2020 but lost in the runoff to Democrat Raphael Warnock. Known for her strong alignment with President Donald Trump, Loeffler supported conservative policies on issues like abortion, gun rights, and immigration.
