Scott Pruitt is a former Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (2017–2018), Attorney General of Oklahoma (2011–2017), and a former member of the Oklahoma State Senate. He holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Political Science from Georgetown College (1990) and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa (1993). Pruitt has focused on federalism, deregulation, and constitutional law throughout his career. He ran unsuccessfully in the Republican primary for a special U.S. Senate election in Oklahoma in 2022.
