Christopher 'Chris' Rose, a member-elect of the Republican Party, is set to represent District 2 in the West Virginia State Senate starting on December 1, 2024. He earned his high school diploma from Iaeger High School and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology from Bluefield State University in 2012. Rose's career includes working as an electrician, electronics technician, and in coal mining. He is affiliated with organizations such as the NRA, Gun Owners of America, and the West Virginia Citizens Defense League. Although he ran for the U.S. Senate, he did not appear on the general election ballot for that race in 2024.
