Curtis Bashaw grew up in Camden County, New Jersey. He earned a bachelor's degree from Wheaton College and a graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. Bashaw's career experience includes working as a hotel entrepreneur and preservationist. He has been involved in various organizations such as the New York Academy of Art, Stockton University, and the NJ Governor’s Tourism Advisory Council. Bashaw campaigned on improving the economy and fiscal discipline.
