Bill Conrad has dedicated over 31 years of service to his country, starting with his graduation from West Point in 1980. A retired Lieutenant Colonel, his military career spans roles as a Green Beret, Civil Engineer, and Rescue Helicopter Pilot, along with completing numerous prestigious military qualifications. He served four combat tours in Afghanistan and worked on counterterrorism plans for the 2004 Republican and Democratic Conventions while with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. In civilian life, Bill served two terms on the Modesto City Council, including a term as Vice Mayor, where he chaired several committees and upheld fiscal responsibility. Professionally, he ran a design-build company and supported his wife Karen in operating a realty business. A proud family man and veteran, Bill brings a wealth of leadership experience to his candidacy for U.S. Senate.
