Mitt Romney was sworn in as Utah’s newest Senator in January 2019. A member of key Senate committees, including Foreign Relations, Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, Homeland Security & Government Affairs, and Budget, Romney has worked on bipartisan efforts to invest in infrastructure, provide COVID-19 relief, and address the solvency of federal trust funds like Medicare and Social Security. As a leader in U.S. foreign policy, he has focused on countering China's rise and advocated for human rights. Romney served as Massachusetts Governor (2003-2007) and led the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics. He co-founded Bain Capital and has a law and business background from Harvard. He is married to Ann and has five sons, 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
