Elected in 2010 as Utah's 16th Senator, Mike Lee has dedicated his career to defending constitutional principles and safeguarding the liberties of all Americans. Inspired by his father, Rex E. Lee, a former Solicitor General, Senator Lee developed a deep respect for the Constitution, attending numerous U.S. Supreme Court arguments as a youth. A graduate of Brigham Young University in Political Science and Law, Lee gained extensive legal experience, clerking for Judge Samuel A. Alito, Jr. and serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. In the Senate, Lee advocates for competition policy, energy independence, and fiscal responsibility, and serves as the Ranking Republican on the Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust. He resides in Utah County with his wife Sharon and their three children, and is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
